The department of dermatology in Mackay Memorial Hospital is the main training center of dermatopathology in Taiwan. There are two well-trained dermatopathologists in our department. Dr. Hsiu-Chin Chen had her dermatopathology training in Mayo Clinic with Dr. Daniel Su and Dr. Ackerman’s laboratory in New York. Dr. Yu-Hung Wu, the current director of this program, was trained at Indiana University Hospital by Dr. Antoinette Hood & William Moores. Dr. Wu has given a monthly dermatopathology lecture to all Taiwanese dermatologists and pathologists since 2003. Twelve of the lecture in inflammatory disorders has been recorded and published in DVD and can be purchased from Taiwanese Dermatological Association.
Our department provides the international fellowship of dermatopathology in cooperation with Asian Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. We welcome dermatologists or pathologists who are interested in further training in dermatopathology to apply to our fellowship program.
