Jasslyn ‘s story
My husband and I have been married for about 3 years when we decided to undergo IVF treatment. We came to this decision not because we have experienced many failed work-ups but because we want to undergo a treatment with the highest success rate.
We learned about Dr. Robert Lee and MacKay Memorial Hospital from my relatives who have been successful with their IVF treatments. With their positive recommendations, we didn’t think twice about going to the same doctor and hospital.
Seeing as it was my first IVF treatment, I was scared of the whole procedure and worried about the medications I had to take. I was also worried of language and cultural barriers. However, Dr. Lee and the whole staff at MacKay really eased my worries by being very professional.
I also found it easy to communicate with Dr. Lee and the whole staff at MacKay because they can speak fluent English. Although the hospital is always full of people, everyone was so efficient that we didn’t have to wait long for injections, check-ups, ultrasounds, etc. This efficiency displayed by the staff at MacKay I think, makes the biggest difference compared to hospitals or clinics in the Philippines.
The accommodation extended by the staff of MacKay was not just limited to the IVF treatment. They also happily answered all my queries such as other things to do in Taipei and good restaurants to eat at. I truly felt comfortable with this supposedly uncomfortable procedure because of the general warmth, compassion, and helpfulness of everyone at MacKay. All these definitely made my 1st IVF experience less stressful which I think contributed a lot in helping me achieve a positive result.
