運用NGS技術, 使用CLC等生物資訊軟體，與菌相資料庫，進行腸道菌相相關分析與研究。

建立不同種類飲食誘發肥胖脂肪肝模型，產生具有類似代謝症候群的小鼠動物模式，以評估代謝功能障礙相關肝病(MASLD)與聯繫之疾病（如心血管疾病）之致病機轉與可能途徑。

使用益生菌(Probiotics)及各種改良式微菌叢植入(Fecal Microbiota Transplantation)，進行相關疾病的療效及可能機轉研究。

運用大腸癌植入小鼠，接受5-FU/FOLFOX後產生化學治療引發腹瀉之動物模型，接受各種治療，進行發炎、增生及細胞凋亡等途徑之機制研究。

肝臟腫瘤之病人雖經根治性之治療(開刀切除、射頻燒灼、肝臟移植)，仍有不少病人面臨腫瘤復發或轉移之困擾，近年雖有標靶治療藥物及免疫治療，但臨床治療成績仍不夠理想，如能找出肝臟腫瘤之復發與轉移機轉，將對廣大的肝臟腫瘤族群提供很大的幫助。目前已建立肝臟腫瘤病人檢體組織陣列，將繼續以免疫組織染色方法染肝臟腫瘤病人檢體組織陣列，研究可能造成肝癌復發及轉移之因子。
